The Sandbox celebrates the Lunar New Year by hosting numerous experiences from big brands across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan
A subsidiary of Animoca Brands, The Sandbox, is launching a Lunar New Year Event to celebrate a creative and cultural moment in the metaverse as the year of the Rabbit — a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture — is about to start.

The Sandbox Celebrates the Year of the Rabbit
More than 400 partners are already members of The Sandbox metaverse. Such brands include Warner Music Group, Ubisoft, The Rabbids, The Walking Dead, Snoop Dogg, Adidas, Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Richie Hawtin, The Smurfs, Care Bears, Atari, ZEPETO, and CryptoKitties.
Now, creators and renowned brands from across Asia are teaming up in The Sandbox to create experiences using their popular IPs. These brands are Softstar and Alpacadabraz from Taiwan, PCCW-HKT, MTR, Sun Hung Kai & Co., McDull from Hong Kong, and The CGame and Chili Game from Mainland China.
Together, they are adding an array of experiences to the mix, including immersive 5G gaming, The Sandbox’s first-ever railway station, a competitive sailing race, and more.
All creators and brands also offer generous rewards within their encounters. The most significant prizes include a reward pool of 200,000 SAND, memorabilia, in-game NFT prizes, virtual “Chinese Dragon” mystery boxes containing limited PFPs, and premium LAND spaces.
